Highpoint invites the community to an afternoon of hands-on printmaking and creative fun. At these free, public events visitors of all ages can drop in anytime during the afternoon to make unique, hand-made artwork.
All materials for the planned activity are supplied by Highpoint (while supplies last). No registration is necessary–just drop in, bring your creativity, and be ready to get inky!
Using light-sensitive paper, flowers from Highpoint’s rain garden, and the power of the sun, you’ll create rich blue prints that capture shapes and shadows. This event is free and open to all ages and experience levels. Materials are provided, and volunteers will be on hand to guide you through the process.
Parking: Enter by walking through HP’s Lake Street entrance or by the driveway off Colfax. Street parking is available, or visitors are encouraged to bike, walk, or take public transit. The event will take place in HP’s parking lot.
Please note: in the event of rain or overcast weather, we’ll shift gears and explore colorful, water-soluble monotype printing instead. Just as fun, and just as free!
