Free Family Day: Art & Well-Being

Throughout the day, guests can explore the galleries, participate in drop-in art activities in the classrooms, enjoy guided tours and storytime, and relax during restorative sound healing sessions. Whether visitors are looking to move, create, unwind, or simply spend meaningful time together, Free Family Day offers something for everyone.

11:00 am – 4:00 pm | Drop-in art activity in the classrooms

11:30 am – 12:00 pm | Sound Healing Session with Maria Voorhees-Reincke, Intuitive Energy and Sound Healer

12:00 – 12:45 pm | Movement Activity for All Ages with Suzanne Costello, Artistic Co-Director at Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater

1:00 pm | Guided Tour of Moving Beyond Bars with exhibition co-creator Suzanne Costello

1:30 – 2:00 pm | Sound Healing Session with Maria Voorhees-Reincke

2:00 pm | Drop-In Storytime Tour

2:30 – 3:00 pm | Sound Healing Session with Maria Voorhees-Reincke

No registration is required. Visitors are encouraged to drop in and enjoy the day at their own pace.

About the Artists

Suzanne Costello is a dance and theater director, choreographer, performer, and educator with a 40-year career dedicated to storytelling and amplifying underrepresented voices. As Artistic Co-Director of Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (SPDT) in Minneapolis, she has toured nationally and internationally, bringing her distinctive approach to movement and narrative to communities around the world.

Maria Voorhees-Reincke is an Intuitive Sound and Energy Healer and founder of MVR Healing. With over a decade of experience, she is known for her sold-out sound baths, retreats, and sacred healing spaces. Her work blends vibrational sound therapy with intuitive energy healing to support deep rest, emotional release, and nervous system regulation.
