Fluid: What is Marine Art, and What Can It Be?

Minnesota Marine Art Museum presents Fluid.

A new gallery experience from the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) that explores the genre of international marine art; unpacking where the typology emerged from, how it has evolved, why a marine art museum in Minnesota is important, and begins to interrogate what the possibilities of this art genre can become. Featuring key selections from MMAM’s permanent collection, complemented by a variety of works in rotation on loan from some of today’s most ambitious artists, museum collections and private collectors.
