Praxis Gallery presents photographic art of any genre and any subject matter which represents the artist’s endeavor to reveal a personal declaration of visual significance, be it a celebration of pure aesthetic formalism, humor or conflict, fiction or fact, or any other literal or ephemeral manifestation.

In the Directors’ Gallery, Praxis presents photographic art in which home unfolds as a dynamic concept that resonates across the human experience, embodying not only a tangible space but also a repository of emotions, memories, and a sense of belonging.

Gallery 3: 2024 Annual Member Showcase
We are thrilled to host our third annual Praxis Artist Member Exhibition! The exhibit will be installed by our gallerist Jonathon Pavlica as a salon style presentation.

EVENT DATES
Opening Night February, 17, 2024, from 6 to 8PM
An opening night reception celebrates the debut of three new exhibitions at Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring three galleries of contemporary photographic art and enjoying complimentary refreshments. Twenty-Three Minnesota artists are featured in these group shows, along with artists from 27 other states and 14 foreign countries.

GALLERY HOURS
Saturdays Noon–5PM and by appointment, during exhibition dates. The exhibitions will be on display from February 17, through March 9, 2024.

Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center is a community-based, artist-led non-profit organization that supports the development of new and emerging artists through exhibition and education. Our mission is to bring diverse perspectives into focus through lens-based art, creating opportunities that engage, challenge, inspire, and surprise the public. Praxis provides solo and group exhibition opportunities, free artist talks and critiques sessions, workshops, artist memberships, and access memberships to our darkroom and studio facilities.
