Emerging Portraits | Scott Kutney + Indigenous Abstrations | P.E.F. Hobot
Two Rivers Gallery is pleased to announce Emerging Portraits, an exhibition featuring the photographic works of Scott Kutney alongside works by P.E.F. Hobot, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Nation.
The exhibition will open with a public artist reception on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In Emerging Portraits, Kutney presents a series of photographic explorations that draw upon the textures and patterns of the natural world. At times incorporating mixed digital media, these works reveal moments of unexpected imagery while reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of the human experience. Guided by a spiritual framework, Kutney’s practice invites viewers to consider the intersections of personal journey, resilience, and creative expression.
The exhibition also features the work of P.E.F. Hobot, whose contributions extend the dialogue of contemporary Native art by honoring cultural heritage while engaging with present-day perspectives.
