DROP IN Skate Deck Art Show 2024

Modist Brewing Co, Rogue Citizen & Otherworldly Arts present DROP IN, a big group exhibition celebrating skate culture and centered on skate decks as art.

Well over 80 artists from various backgrounds working in different mediums converge on Modist Brewing Co in the North Loop of Minneapolis to pack the taproom gallery walls with illustrative, abstract, lowbrow, unexpected and experimental artwork – all available for purchase.

Modist Brewing called up Twin Cities artgang Rogue Citizen to curate the first DROP IN show in 2017: an impromptu, wild event that echoed the young brewery’s energy and the atmosphere surrounding the X-Games taking place in the city. Several years, trials, troubles, and a pandemic later, DROP IN returns following a successful 2023 update, with Otherworldly Arts Collective joining forces with Rogue Citizen to make it happen.

Everyone can expect some great music, beer, THC and nonalcoholic refreshments to accompany this sprawling collection of skate deck art at the DROP IN opening party: Friday, Aug 23, 6-11pm, at Modist Brewing Co, 505 N 3rd Street, Minneapolis.
