A solo exhibition of large detailed watercolors and graphite drawings by visual artist Kristin Maija Peterson.
Artist Kristin Maija Peterson’s work explores the question of beauty in the natural world, asking “What is considered beautiful, and what is not?” Witness her stunning environmental artwork, including 25 images of nature, vividly rendered in watercolor and graphite pencil, inviting viewers to go into the world in search of awe and to notice and cultivate the natural spaces and biodiversity just outside their own front doors. This first-of-its-kind narrative exhibit at the Arboretum blends creative writing and science with each artwork accompanied by a story label, allowing the viewer to experience a deeper connection.
