Bear Witness: Honoring Gaza's Martyrs
A sound and spatial installation honoring the martyrs of Gaza with an opening gathering and poetry reading.
Event Details
To mark the opening of this installation and to mourn the loss of life in Gaza please join us on December 8.
This event will feature a reading beginning at 7pm from local poets: Yara Omer, Willie Nour, Sagirah Shahid, Nikki Lewis, Meg Amad, Muna Abdelahi, Aziz Bisanz, Su Hwang, Chaun Webster and more in solidarity with Palestine.
The installation will be available for viewing through the end of December 2023.
This installation is presented by Mizna, UMN Students for Justice in Palestine, UMN Palestine Studies Working Group (soon to become Faculty for Justice in Palestine), and Public Functionary.
Opening Event: Dec 8, 2023
Gallery open 6pm. Poetry Reading 7pm.
Viewing Hours: Dec 7–9 & 14–16, 12–6pm.
