And the Green Grass Grew All Around | Guy Nelson

Guy Nelson The show pairs recent landscape paintings with a generative sound-and-text installation that incorporates technology as it hallucinates,

building from the folk song "And the Green Grass Grew All Around." New verses unfold over the run of the exhibition and sit with the paintings as a way of staying with land, recurrence, and natural connectedness.

Guy Nelson received his BA from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. He earned an MFA from Pratt Institute (Brooklyn, New York). He currently resides in Minneapolis.
