An Artists Journey

The Artist's Journey is an internal battle against self-sabotage and fear, a lifelong commitment to finding one's voice and subject. 

The journey is about discovering and embracing one's true calling, producing the work that one is meant to create.

The artist follows their twitch and the subject of their work chooses the artist, rather than the other way around. 

A Lifelong Pursuit.

This journey is a continuous process of self-discovery and creation that lasts a lifetime.

We could say a personal artistic journey is how artists explore and transform their ideas, the evolution of their practice over time. Their visual form will change or be altered as a result of the exploration of ideas, subject, and mediums.

The opening at Gallery 427 in the Northrup King Building on Saturday September 20 will feature several new works by Darrell Hagan along with some older paintings. All work will be available at 20% off their regular price.
