Art to Change the World presents: Aging As An Artform; Notes From the Far Side of Youth. AAAA empowers and gives purpose and community to a group of nine authors/artists. They embraced and celebrated their lived experiences both in the past and as they look toward the future.
These artists met and wrote from January- June 2026 . The essays are meant to honor and celebrate the comedy of the human condition by drawing on the participants’ experiences with the elderly – themselves or others. These are general works that will include strategies for coping and may serve as inspiration to others.
Art to Change the World would like to extend an invitation to attend the Exhibition hosted by Open Book, as well as the Reading & Reception Event where the artists will share the published book. There will be a short presentation, book signings, snacks, community, and artists discussing their work. Books will be distributed to at least 15 facilities which would benefit from owning this artwork. Books will also be available to buy at cost, with no profits sought.
Art To Change The World has also found funding for moderators and guests to inspire and encourage ongoing participant access and success, and intend to continue a writing group to extend or create new works in the future. Read more about the Aging project:
