The Artificial world often reflects our human characteristics making it feel eerily similar us. That perception can manifest in fear and anxiety. This group exhibition aims to demystify the apprehension, feelings of lost control and suggests action through immersion. The Future can seem scary but remember that we are all part of it we are the message. What do you want that message to be? Come view interactive works from Sara Hanson, Inside the Robot, Johnny Murphy, and Jeremy Clark which explores the wonder, discomfort, and fragility of our machine-driven age.

Featured Artists:
lnsideTheRobot is Linnea Maas, a Minneapolis based visual artist whose graphic and brightly colored world will tickle your heart and light up your emotional core. Her long fascination with the intangible things that highlight our human-ness and connect us converges in the digital realm. From paint- brush to pixels, she is entranced by the creative potential of the imagination combining with technology to power resonance between people. Desiring to be seen, facing fears and vulnerabilities, the Robots are us.

Sara Hanson is a Minneapolis-based community public artist and teacher known for her public art installations, Bio Scenic Travel Machines, and the WOW Mobile Metal Lab, a city bus turned cast metal, science and nature workspace. Sara's interactive and participatory sculptures and projects invite exploration and discovery, while expanding connections with our-selves, others and our collective future. Sara has been creating and collaborating with communities since she was awarded her first grant from Forecast Public Art in 2005. She has been awarded grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and was commissioned by the City of Minneapolis to create a collaborative Artist Designed Public Drinking Fountain. She has exhibited at the Minnesota Museum of American Art, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, a TEDx event and currently has installations at Silverwood Park, Lake Nokomis and many local schools, businesses and organizations.

Jeremy Clark is a designer, artist, maker, and motorcycle enthusiast known for a multifaceted sculptural practice which blurs the lines between the functional and the aesthetic. In addition to his professional design pursuits, he has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota and a visiting lecturer at Minneapolis College of Art + Design and Dunwoody Institute. Most recently, he has been a creative contributor and resident artist at the Hewing Hotel. His artistic exploration spans multiple mediums and themes, but often pulls inspiration from history, nature, science and mechanical castaways.

Johnny Murphy is an engineer and entrepreneur working to steer the world toward a tech utopia. He loves exploring the edges of modern technology as much as futzing with machine-age oddities. Usually working alongside his long-time co-conspirator Jeremy Clark, this is Murphy's first time exhibiting his solo works.
