Exhibition of current artworks by Wilbur “Chip” Schilling.

Traffic Zone Gallery presents /ver(e)e.gaded/ by artist Wilber “Chip” Schilling. This series of recycled narratives is formed by original photographs framed within repurposed shipping containers. Repeated patterns create optical illusions to illuminate images of everyday life. The series explores how layering image and text can transform the mundane to the extraordinary.

Artist statement I am interested in the sequential nature of art and design. Specifically, how one thing or one idea leads to another in the interpretation of a verbal and visual narrative. Abstraction can play a part in the narrative, which is explored in this work. Wilber “Chip” Schilling
