The Distance Between

The Distance Between

An exhibition of mixed media work by St. Paul artist Nathanael Flink

For 'The Distance Between,' Nathanael Flink paints and also creates sculptural installations out of scavenged materials, foam, wood, cardboard, cloth, items of furniture, and components he manufactures, that reveal aspects of personal relationships of various dimensions.

He works with evocative combinations of textures, colors and surfaces. With sculpture, he gathers a mish-mash of scrap material, reformulating it into a personal vocabulary that is descriptive of an intuitive aesthetic, along with new discoveries. This becomes a means to cope, explore difficulties, and remove blockages of mysteries relating to people and places that are inhabited within the past or contemporary experience.

Gallery hours M-F 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-4pm
