Sight Specific - Joshua Huyser

Solo exhibition of watercolor paintings from Joshua Huyser

Sight Specific is an exhibition celebrating the act of seeing and the special nature of those quiet, unexpected moments when specific light, colors, textures and forms come together in harmonic resonation. The exhibition consists of landscape and still life paintings in which the primary inspirations are purely formal. “For me, art making is very much about the visual experience and its effect on our being.

In these tumultuous times I find myself hungry for more quiet reflection and respite and my work has been affected by this want. My interest lies in telling and sharing the quiet stories of my private visual discoveries.”
