Letters to My Daughter

Letters to My Daughter

What do you do with a blank notebook and a pencil? You write! And, you teach your children. In recent years, Lori DeLyser and Melissa Pahl have found joy in hand-lettering as a way to gather memories and record the humanness of those around us. The organic nature counteracts the immersion of technology in our lives. The use of paper and pencil has become, for us, cathartic, as we manage the busy world we live in. And if the words we create strike a chord with you that's even better.

We are a mother/daughter team who have been practicing the art of hand-lettering for as long as we can remember. Lori is a teach and has been for 22 years. She raised two beautiful daughters and is actively involved in her granddaughter's life. Melissa Pahl, one of the daughters and the mother of the granddaughter, is currently working as a Project Management Professional in IT.

Sharing our passion, generation to generation, as well as lessons learned and wisdom gained, completes the circle. We will continue to pass on our thoughts, ideas and art to those who come after. We hope you enjoy.
