Kindred Folk…

Illustrative paintings by D.C. Ice

Gallery 360 welcomes back with great excitement local talent, D.C. Ice with an exhibition steeped in anthropomorphic reverie entitled, Kindred Folk. Ice is revered by many for her visually storied and highly illustrative works that are carved and painted on scratchboard.

This showing stays true to her celebrated subject matter involving creatural characters engaged in everyday life interplay.  In one piece, Birds fly like music notes from a vintage Victrola while a cunning fox sneaks around the corner to await an unsuspecting prey. While in another work, a tiger and a bear sit side by side in a pennant-strewn forest awaiting telephone calls from their adjacent rotary phones. Off the wall and always original, Ice’s artworks never fail to delight and amuse even the most discriminating art devotees.
