Invisible Present

Invisible Present

A showing of Frank Meuschke’s latest landscape photographs

Frank Meuschke’s latest landscape photographs are an exploration of Minnesota’s Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve -one of the most significant, if little known, sites dedicated to ecology science in the world. Made over the course of a year as Cedar Creek’s artist in residence, the work came to terms with the invisibility of the ecological dimension and the arcane presence of scientific apparatus among its varied ecological niches. The result is photography that questions an ideal landscape in our age of environmental uncertainty.
