Hold Us Tight

Hold Us Tight

A group exhibition exploring the many interpretations of the word "hold", curated by Benjamin Merritt.

Hold is a word that contains complex and contradictory meanings. It can be a gesture of comfort, love, or restraint. You can hold a hand, an object, a loved one. Hold can mean “to contain”- a treasured item, a secret. You can hold court or hold space. You can also be held; held by someone you love, held by community, held by societal structures, held accountable. In Hold Us Tight, curator Benjamin Merritt challenges artists to consider the many interpretations of the word Hold in their work.

Important Dates
Opening Reception: October 8th
Discussion with the curator and select artists: November 5th
