El Grito de los Ancestros

In 2021, BareBones, in partnership with Festival de las Calaveras, is doing a one day event, Sunday October 31st. It will include a Procession beginning in Powderhorn Park, leading to Festival de las Calaveras at Chicago and Lake Street, followed by an evening concert and Cabaret with the theme of grief, loss and death. The production aims to unify the many communities that make up Minneapolis in celebration of the Cycles of Life.

SCHEDULE

• noon - 3pm: Ceremony and Procession, from Powderhorn Park to open lot, E. Lake St. and Chicago Ave. 
•  3pm - 7:30pm: Concert presented by Festival de las Calaveras 
• 8pm-10pm: Ancestors Concert and Cabaret presented by BareBones (with intermission by DJ Queenduin at 7:30pm)

FREE! BareBones has always believed its annual event should be available to all. Instead of selling tickets, we ask the public to help keep these activities funded with a donation (any size helps and is appreciated). Help us continue our Fall traditions for years to come!
