A photography exhibition documenting Joshua Coombes’ humanitarian project, #DoSomethingForNothing (recently featured on Morgan Freeman’s show ’The Story of Us’) will open on June 8th at the Mpls Photo Center featuring the photography of internationally acclaimed Minneapolis Photographer Valérie Jardin.

Joshua Coombes, 30, is a British hair stylist, and founder of #DoSomethingForNothing. A movement that connects, encourages, and inspires everyday people to carry out small acts of kindness and goodwill, according to their particular skill, and passing it on to those who need it. Joshua’s desire, quite simply, is to positively impact people’s lives by offering free haircuts to the homeless, and in turn, giving them back some dignity.

Valérie Jardin is a French Photographer residing in the Twin-Cities who is recognized internationally for her street and documentary photography. She teaches workshops worldwide, produces a weekly podcast and has written several photography books.

The photos and the touching stories of each person in the exhibit will be shown at Mpls Photo Center from June 8th- August 18th, 2018.

A Gallery Opening will be on June 8th, 2018.  Joshua and Valerie will do an Artist’s Talk at 6pm on June 8th.  Limited seating, tickets are $10 per person, free for members. Reception is open to the public at 7pm.
