Call-Together: Now is the Time

Call-Together: Now is the Time

AZ relaunches as a community exhibition space with a juried group featuring 50 local and regional artists

The 2022 curatorial theme ‘Cultivate the Creative’ emerged from a reevaluation of our mission as a small nonprofit gallery responding to the pressures of a surging pandemic and increased demand for equity. It became clear that our primary role is to provide unrestricted access to community exhibition space. With that in mind, we redesigned the exhibition structure to showcase an artist’s best work, free of submission fees, content regulations, themes, size, or material restrictions.

We were once again overwhelmed by an incredible amount of submissions for this exhibition. Struck by the diversity of artistic styles, technique and expression Exhibition Cycle 2 became Call-Together: Now is the Time in reflection of the work as a unified whole created by strangers from within one community.
