Despite cinemas being shut, Bicycle Film Festival (BFF) lands in Minneapolis with a curated virtual screening of short films. Available from February 28th to March 7th, hosted by Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) & Our Streets Minneapolis.

Bicycle Film Festival celebrates the bicycle through a virtual festival program, specifically curated for Minneapolis. The BFF selected short film program offers an international point of view of the cycling movement. The stories appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everything in between.

Bicycle Film Festival plays an important role in creating an eco-friendly society and bringing diverse communities together.

BFF Founding Director Brendt Barbur added: “In a year of a global pandemic, economic strife, a contentious political period the bicycle boom worldwide is optimistic news to celebrate. We hope to offer a positive respite from all of this for people.

The program will be available online from February 26th to March 7th. Tickets are available now on www.bicyclefilmfestival.com with sliding scale prices at $10, $15, $20.

Both the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota and Our Streets Minneapolis are excited to host a panel dedicated to change-makers in the community working to diversify the cycling community and culture in Minnesota. Panelists include Louis Moore, a founding member and President of the Major Taylor Bicycle Association of Minnesota, local activist and bicycle expert Wesley Ferguson, co-organizer of the 2020 Juneteenth Ride, Paige Ingram, and founder and Secretary of the new cycling collective Stamina Racing Collective, Dr. Ashley Zapata and Madilynn Garcia.
