A Strange Cartography

A Strange Cartography

An exhibition of work by Jennifer Danos and Natasha Pestich

This exhibition reflects on the idea of shifting borders through an imagined topography of maps, timelines, and floor plans constructed by the artists. Throughout their collaboration, they conjure sites of disturbance through architectural intervention and storytelling. Their practice utilizes humble materials to fabricate ephemeral truths, often drawing associations to the built environment and print-based communications. These new forms evoke stability on one hand and impermanence on the other. A Strange Cartography bases its starting point on personal accounts of living in Croatia during World War II.
