Vandalism may be bad, but police brutality is far worse. Really, what justified violence against a non-violent criminal? That the police officer was too out-of-shape to catch the guy without shooting him?

I commissioned Chris to paint a scene from my wedding a few years ago. It is by far the shining gem of my unfortunately somewhat limited art collection. Chris has a raw talent that I admire and a unique perspective on the world in front of him. Keep up the good work Chris!

Chain link fences are ugly, ugly vandalism that mar almost every part of the city. There are so many of them in Minneapolis it makes me wonder which politician has a cousin that sells fences. I'm not talking about private yards. Just everywhere on public property--paid for by taxes. Now they just spent God knows how much on a big ugly brown wall along 35W. Who got to decide that it should be brown? No one asked me if I wanted my tax dollars spent to fill my city with ugly gray fences or big brown walls, so just who, David, would be authorized to give me permission to hang art on them?

Who comes around and cleans up the yarn when it's droopy and sagging? I agree that is vandalism...and possibly littering. Do it on your own property, please.

Alot of it's public property, and I might argue that certain objects have vandalized our city so that decorating the infrastructure is permitted.

Anyway, I always though it said "HOTTER" too.

I have a few photos of works I've found, and now I can appreciate the artist behind them. Thanks for writing!

David. Consider the idea that the work these artists are doing is, in fact, not vandalizing property. Personally, I welcome a culture that recognizes the space it lives within as its own and hopes to beautify it with a unique voice. Particularly in blighted areas like this example in Denver.

Legal walls, non-destructive street art, bombing abandoned buildings with full on graffiti should all be encouraged.
