John Megas is Not Painting Pandas Painting Light Bulbs
Thursday, November 10th, 2011I’m eager to see the upcoming exhibition titled “Signals” by our reviews writer John Megas. Opening at Gallery 122 on Saturday (opening reception is from 7-10pm) the new work is a departure from his paintings on demand (Panda Licking a Light Bulb). The focus for the exhibition is the impact of power lines on the landscape. The end result are paintings with a rhythmic beauty to them despite the clutter that we as people create on nature.
