Universal Capital - Sean Smuda

Traffic Zone presents work by Sean Smuda

Traffic Zone Gallery presents Sean Smuda: Universal Capital, a multilayered glossary of economic and social transformations. Linking #BLM, austerity governance and the Commodity Fetish to their colonialist roots, the work challenges the authority of historical cartography and contemporary statistics. Its appropriations, collage and performances reconfigure territories, symbology and propaganda. Universal Capital puts the value of art itself in question as prints are employed in protest zones, galleries and other seats of power.
