The JAX Wake: Memorial for an Art Building

The JAX Wake: Memorial for an Art Building

Join the funeral procession to mourn the loss of this historic space that housed artists and creative enterprises for nearly 40 years in Lowertown, St. Paul.

After nearly 40 years as being a home to hundreds of artists and creative business spaces, the historic JAX building in Lowertown, St. Paul has been sold and is being renovated. Displaced will be hundreds of artists, The Show Gallery, and many many more.

Celebrate the legacy and mourn the loss of The JAX Building during the May Lowertown First Fridays May 6th. The procession starts 7PM sharp at the Union Depot steps. Following the procession there will be a celebration in honor of the JAX artists at Golden's Deli (275 E 4th ST) from 8PM until close. Mourning costume or black attire is encouraged.

Consider contributing to the JAX Wake fund to give the JAX artists a proper sendoff.
