IC: 'Hunting Within' (detail) lino print, 2018, Nicole Sara Simpkins
In her new work, Nicole Sara Simpkins explores pattern-forming through repeated botanical and strip-mall architecture. Pirsig’s window display will be transformed into a cut-paper diorama. Linoleum prints of invasive plant species will grow together like lacy textiles, and behind them, curious viewers will find intricate ink drawings of dog women, snake people, and architecture of the living and the dying. Biennale Beinalley will feature linoleum prints.
