Kolman & Pryor Gallery is proud to honor the women of Kolman & Pryor Gallery by presenting No Boys Allowed in the gallery’s new “intimate space.” Held in conjunction with the Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover, No Boys Allowed showcases ceramics and paintings by Kolman & Pryor Gallery artists, Betsy Ruth ByersJil EvansFarida HughesKelly Jean Ohl and Jodi Reeb. The exhibition, curated by gallery co-owners, Anita Sue Kolman and Patrick K. Pryor, runs from January 30 through March 12, 2016, and includes a free opening reception Saturday, January 30, from 2 – 4 p.m.

Committed to showcasing and supporting the work of Minnesota women artists since its inception, Kolman & Pryor Gallery's artist roster has always been dominated by women. Thus, the gallery is proud to be part of the Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover. From January to March, 2016, the Takeover will include over thirty arts and cultural organizations in Minneapolis and St. Paul and surrounding cities.

“We at the Kolman & Pryor Gallery are excited about our participation in the Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover,” says Anita Sue Kolman, gallery co-owner. “Our show, No Boys Allowed, will help raise awareness and questions about the role of gender in art. Have we moved beyond gender or does gender still affect artistic judgments and perceptions? This show will give our gallery visitors and artists an opportunity to consider these ideas and more as we start the new year of 2016."
