Never Odd Or Even

There is a simple joy to a palindrome. A word or phrase that reads identically both forward and back, palindromes are a simple statement that present an understated level of consideration, craft, and playfulness. Often likely to go unnoticed unless attention is called to it, these clever reversed messages are at the heart of Never Odd Or Even, Light Grey Art Lab’s newest exhibition that invites artists to explore the symmetrical and Never Odd Or Even opens July 15th and features new work from over 60 artists from around the globe. Together these artists explore the concepts of duality, subliminal meaning, and contrasting perspectives. Focusing on ideas which might seem black and white at first glance, but in reality occupy a gray area, artists responded with pieces that address the dark side of personality, cycles of life and death, regrowth, and concealed intentions.
