Mateo - New Photographs by Ryan Coit

For the past several years, Minneapolis based photographer Ryan Coit’s work has been dramatically influenced by his involvement in the Twin Cities LGBT community. Internationally recognized for presenting work that captures the beauty in all types of individuals expressing their sexuality, Coit’s photography has been exhibited in several locations around Minneapolis as well as The Tom of Finland Foundation (LA), Fringe! Queer Art Festival (London), and Vancouver Art & Leisure (Vancouver).

Ryan’s photography takes many forms and is expressed through varying styles. His images are Sexy, fun, intense and transparent - work that in many ways represents him and the community in which he moves. While becoming more comfortable within his own experience, and exploring his own sexuality, Coit’s work now takes on the scent of leather, sweat, and poppers -the innate beauty of desire, of sex, of kink.

City Wide Artists is pleased to present Mateo, a collection of images exploring the desires of right now - of tonight. He is a hot muscle pup - inked, seductive, ready. Four hotel room walls rocking back and forth like the wave of good MDMA. Sexual thoughts unselfconsciously and without restraint become real.

A night of perfection held in a wad of twenties.
