Library New Acquisitions Night + Ulises Carrión Film Screening

Midway Contemporary showcases their new additions to the library and screens Ulises Carrión 's "Bookworks revisted. Part 1"

Join Midway Contemporary's library to spend some time with their most recent book acquisitions, including a large selection from Roma Publications, one of their favorite publishers. Located in Amsterdam, Roma was founded in 1998 by graphic designer Roger Willems and artists Mark Manders and Marc Nagtzaam.

They are also screening Bookworks revisited. Part 1: a selection, 1987, by Ulises Carrión (1941 – 1989). In 1975, Carrión founded Other Books and So in Amsterdam (1975 – 1979), as a bookshop-gallery and distribution center for artist publications and multiples. He arrived at visual art practice through his interest in print culture and media, which led him to engage with mail art and eventually performance, film and video.
