Important Minnesota Art from Historic to Modern

An exhibition of paintings and sculpture by historic, nationally recognized artists that have lived or worked in Minnesota

Hiro Fine Art presents Important Minnesota Art from Historic to Modern, an exhibition of over fifty paintings, works on paper, and sculpture from the 20th century by Minnesota artists, a few highlights include a large Knute Heldner View of Duluth painting, circa 1920 from the Dorsey-Whitney Law Firm art collection as well as an incredible early abstract painting by Peter Busa titled Indian Space Figure. An opening reception will be held on April 15th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with hors d’oeuvres and wine.

The exhibition will focus on nationally recognized artists who have worked or lived in Minnesota. There were some incredible artists that called Minnesota home and our goal is to promote their work to the public. Most of the artworks came from private collections that haven’t come on the market for generations. Some of the artists included in the exhibition are Alexis Fournier, Knute Heldner, Carl Rawson, Dewey Albinson, John Fery, Nicholas Richard Brewer, Magnus Norstad, Paul Granlund, Peter Busa, Raymond Parker, Elof Wedin, Cameron Booth, Hugh Kappel and many more.
