How We See It

How We See It

Paintings by Jerry Johanning & John Piepkorn

Lobby Gallery, Second Floor

Jerry Johanning describes himself as a “self-taught photographer” who uses his art to “slow down” and “pay attention to my surroundings and observe landscapes” and “the wonder of nature.” He gives a lot of credit for his beautiful images to his wife, Karen, for her love of travel. “If you like my work, you should thank Karen.”

Johanning is showing with like-minded artist, John Piepkorn. Piepkorn has been photographing landscapes for over 30 years. He gives credit for his work to “a great deal of planning”…and some serendipity. His philosophy about photography is simple: “You can find something interesting almost anywhere if you take the time to look.”

The opening reception and exhibition runs concurrently with 'The Other Side' by Dan Volenec.
