Chris Larson: Land Speed Record

Chris Larson: Land Speed Record

A video installation exploring ephemera and physical context by multimedia artist Chris Larson.

In Land Speed Record, multimedia artist Chris Larson focuses on the objects (and memories) left behind when their context and architectural enclosure has disappeared. Inspired by the architecture of Minneapolis’ 7th St. Entry, the installation explores objects that originated from the childhood home of Grant Hart, Hüsker Dü’s founder and co-songwriter, which caught fire and partially burned in 2011.

Join Chris Larson, Grant Hart, and exhibition curators Siri Engberg and Doug Benidt on a Target Free Thursday Night June 9th for a discussion about Chris Larson's work and the development of Land Speed Record. After the talk in the Walker Cinema, head out to the Walker terraces for drinks and further conversation.

Exhibition takes place in the Medtronic Gallery.
